Beautiful, deep red coloration helps this little shrimp stand out sharply against any backdrop, plants, or substrate in any aquarium. Painted Fire Red Cherry Shrimp are the highest grade of red cherry shrimp available, so they are completely solid red - even their legs! However, males will range from Sakura red to Painted Fire Red Grade as male neocaridina shrimp are just less colorful than their female counterparts. Females will always be Painted Fire Grade. These shrimp look great, clean your tank, and are a blast to watch! Like all dwarf shrimp, they are very active and breed quickly. A colony of these shrimp works as a very effective cleaning crew for your aquarium, cleaning up algae and waste.
Painted Fire Red Grade Color:
- Extremely Deep Red coloration with very little to no clear spots at all
- Body and legs should be vastly red
- Males can range from Sakura Grade to Painted Fire Grade
These are freshwater shrimp and can live in almost any freshwater aquarium. They are very popular for planted tanks and community tanks, and many people use them in large aquariums for waste management and algae control. We generally ship young adult shrimp that are already of breeding age (so around 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch in length) and are the highest grade of red cherry shrimp, which means that their coloration is the most intense red you'll ever find! They are even more solid red than our regular Sakura Red Cherry Shrimp!
All Red Cherry Shrimp are extremely adaptable creatures that can live in almost any freshwater aquarium. Some of the younger shrimp have not reached their full potential yet and will grow into a deep red color as long as they are comfortable in the tank. Lower intensity lighting and dark substrate also helps them achieve the deepest and darkest reds.

Shipping Schedule for this service
Current Handling Time:
1-9 business days
Here at Aquatic Arts, we consider the welfare of the live animals we are shipping to be of the foremost importance. This process is much more involved than simply creating a shipping label and affixing it to a box. Depending on the order, it takes from 4 to 7 people to complete this process properly. We check the weather conditions here where they fly out of the Indianapolis UPS facility and the destination for each shipment. We start early each morning and go through a multi-step process to have the day's shipments prepared in time for the UPS pickup. The volume of orders in our system also affects the processing time. Therefore our stated handling time is 1-9 business days.
Shipping Rate
Pricing is by size of package needed to fill entire order and distance it must travel. It will be calculated at checkout.
