Its shimmering platinum scales make it an eye-catching centerpiece in any aquarium, combining both elegance and a fierce, regal aesthetic.
Each Betta fish we offer is truly one of a kind, with unique colors and patterns that make no two alike. The fish photographed in our listings are examples of the stunning Betta you could receive, though not the exact fish. When you buy from us, you're getting a living work of art.
What We Love About This Fish:
- Stunning platinum white coloration that shines brightly in any aquarium.
- Peaceful with non-aggressive species, but best kept with no other bettas.
- Hardy and easy to care for in a range of water conditions.
- Active swimmer with a graceful display of its unique crown-like fins.
Natural Habitat:
Bettas are native to the slow-moving waters of Southeast Asia, typically inhabiting rice paddies, shallow streams, and stagnant ponds. They are well-adapted to environments with dense vegetation and low water flow, which allows them to build bubble nests during breeding.
Aquascaping:
- Plants: Bettas appreciate soft plants like Anubias, Java Fern, Bucephalandra, and Marimo Moss Balls that provide hiding spots and resting areas.
- Hardscape: Use smooth stones or driftwood like Malaysian Driftwood to create territories and reduce stress.
- Botanicals: Add Indian Almond Leaves to mimic the tannin-rich waters of their native habitat and promote overall health.
Diet and Feeding:
Bettas are carnivores and thrive on a high-protein diet. Feed a base of high-quality betta pellets or flakes, and supplement with frozen or live treats like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia to ensure vibrant health and color.
Tank Mates and Compatibility:
Bettas are best kept alone or with peaceful tank mates such as snails or small, non-aggressive fish like Corydoras catfish or neon tetras. Male bettas are territorial and should not be kept with other male bettas or fin-nipping species.
Shrimp Safe:
Platinum Crowntail Bettas are not considered shrimp safe. They may prey on adult shrimp and are likely to eat shrimp fry or smaller shrimp.
Recommended Tank Parameters:
- Temperature: 75-80°F (24-27°C)

Shipping Schedule for this service
Current Handling Time:
1-9 business days
Here at Aquatic Arts, we consider the welfare of the live animals we are shipping to be of the foremost importance. This process is much more involved than simply creating a shipping label and affixing it to a box. Depending on the order, it takes from 4 to 7 people to complete this process properly. We check the weather conditions here where they fly out of the Indianapolis UPS facility and the destination for each shipment. We start early each morning and go through a multi-step process to have the day's shipments prepared in time for the UPS pickup. The volume of orders in our system also affects the processing time. Therefore our stated handling time is 1-9 business days.
Shipping Rate
Pricing is by size of package needed to fill entire order and distance it must travel. It will be calculated at checkout.
