Unlike traditional glass heaters, the titanium heating element is built for durability and long service life while providing efficient, even heat transfer throughout the aquarium. The included remote temperature probe continuously monitors actual aquarium water temperature, helping eliminate inaccurate readings caused by heat radiating directly from the heater.
The sleek digital controller features an easy-to-read LED display with touch controls, allowing quick temperature adjustments between 68°F and 92°F. Built-in safety systems including automatic shutoff, high temperature alerts, and power outage memory help protect your aquarium and provide peace of mind whether you're maintaining a planted freshwater aquarium, reef system, or fish room.
Whether you're heating a nano aquarium or a large display system, the TrueTemp G2 series offers a professional heating solution trusted by hobbyists who demand accuracy, reliability, and durability.

Can the JBJ TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater be used in a sump?
Yes. The JBJ U.S.A. TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater is ideal for sump installations. Many hobbyists install the heater in the sump while placing the temperature probe in an area with strong water circulation for accurate temperature readings.
Is a titanium aquarium heater better for a sump than a glass heater?
Many aquarists prefer using a titanium heater in a sump because titanium is highly durable, corrosion resistant, and far less susceptible to accidental impacts than glass. The JBJ U.S.A. TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater is specifically well suited for sump installations where equipment is hidden from view while maintaining stable temperatures throughout the aquarium system.
Why do many reef aquarists install titanium heaters in their sump?
Installing the JBJ U.S.A. TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater in a sump keeps the display aquarium free of visible equipment while allowing heated water to circulate evenly throughout the aquarium. This creates a cleaner appearance and helps maintain more consistent temperatures.
What are the advantages of placing a titanium heater in a sump?
Installing the JBJ U.S.A. TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater in a sump helps hide equipment, improves heat distribution, reduces clutter inside the display aquarium, simplifies maintenance, and allows the heater to operate in an area with continuous water movement.
Where should I place a titanium heater inside my sump?
Install the JBJ U.S.A. TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater in a sump chamber with a constant water level and consistent water flow. Avoid placing the heater where evaporation may expose it to air.
Should the temperature probe be placed next to the heater?
No. Position the remote probe away from the heater in an area with good circulation so it measures the aquarium's overall water temperature rather than freshly heated water surrounding the heating element.
Does a sump improve the performance of a titanium aquarium heater?
Yes. Continuous water movement through the sump allows the JBJ U.S.A. TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater to distribute heat evenly throughout the aquarium while reducing localized hot spots.
Is a titanium heater safer than a glass heater in a sump?
Both heater types are safe when properly installed, but many hobbyists choose titanium heaters because they are far less likely to crack or shatter if bumped during maintenance or while working around pumps, plumbing, or rockwork.
Where should the heater be installed if I am not using a sump?
Install the JBJ U.S.A. TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater in an area with moderate to strong water movement, such as near a filter outlet or circulation pump, to ensure even heat distribution.

Yes. The controller stores your temperature setting and automatically resumes operation when power is restored.
Does the JBJ TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater have overheat protection?
Yes. The heater includes built-in automatic shutoff and a high temperature alarm to help protect your aquarium from overheating.
Is a titanium aquarium heater better than a glass aquarium heater?
Both titanium and glass aquarium heaters can effectively maintain stable aquarium temperatures, but each offers its own advantages. The JBJ U.S.A. TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater uses a corrosion resistant titanium heating element that is significantly more durable than traditional glass heaters. Titanium is shatter resistant, making it an excellent choice for freshwater aquariums, reef tanks, large display aquariums, aquariums with heavy rockwork, or setups housing large or active fish.
Glass aquarium heaters are often more affordable and perform well in many home aquariums, but they can be more susceptible to cracking or breaking if dropped or struck.
The JBJ U.S.A. TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater also features a separate digital controller and remote temperature probe that monitors the aquarium's actual water temperature rather than the temperature immediately surrounding the heating element. This helps provide more consistent temperature regulation than many standard glass heaters with built-in thermostats.
Can I run two JBJ TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heaters on one aquarium?
Yes. Many experienced aquarists use two smaller heaters instead of one large heater for improved temperature distribution and added redundancy in larger aquariums.

Yes. The JBJ U.S.A. TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater is safe for freshwater shrimp aquariums when adjusted to the appropriate temperature for the shrimp species being kept.
Is the JBJ TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater suitable for axolotl aquariums?
Yes. The heater can help prevent temperatures from dropping too low during cooler months. However, axolotls often require a chiller during warm weather if temperatures rise above their preferred range.
How long should I wait before turning the heater on after installation?
Allow the JBJ U.S.A. TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater to remain fully submerged for at least 20 to 30 minutes before plugging it in. This allows the heating element to reach the same temperature as the aquarium water.
How do I clean the JBJ TrueTemp G2 Titanium Heater?
Disconnect the heater from power, allow it to cool completely, and gently wipe away algae or mineral deposits with a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

Here at Aquatic Arts, we consider the welfare of the live animals we are shipping to be of the foremost importance. This process is much more involved than simply creating a shipping label and affixing it to a box. Depending on the order, it takes from 4 to 7 people to complete this process properly. We check the weather conditions here where they fly out of the Indianapolis UPS facility and the destination for each shipment. We start early each morning and go through a multi-step process to have the day's shipments prepared in time for the UPS pickup. The volume of orders in our system also affects the processing time. Therefore our stated handling time is 1-9 business days.
