Natural Habitat:
Originally found in slow-moving streams and rivers of Southeast Asia, Tiger Barbs prefer shallow, warm waters with dense vegetation and natural debris. In the wild, they inhabit environments with soft, slightly acidic water and scattered leaf litter.

Platinum Green Tiger Barbs are omnivores and require a varied diet for optimal color and health. Tank Mates and Compatibility:
Compatible with other semi-aggressive fish of similar size and temperament. Avoid slow-moving or long-finned species. Best results are seen when kept in schools of 6 or more to reduce nipping and establish natural social behavior.
Not Shrimp Safe:
Not recommended with small or baby shrimp, as Tiger Barbs may nip at them. Larger adult shrimp in heavily planted tanks with ample hiding spots may coexist with caution.
Breeding:
Breeding is possible in a separate tank with fine-leaved plants or spawning mops. Remove adults after spawning to protect eggs, as they may eat them.

Here at Aquatic Arts, we consider the welfare of the live animals we are shipping to be of the foremost importance. This process is much more involved than simply creating a shipping label and affixing it to a box. Depending on the order, it takes from 4 to 7 people to complete this process properly. We check the weather conditions here where they fly out of the Indianapolis UPS facility and the destination for each shipment. We start early each morning and go through a multi-step process to have the day's shipments prepared in time for the UPS pickup. The volume of orders in our system also affects the processing time. Therefore our stated handling time is 1-9 business days.
