Vibrant, hardy, and endlessly active, the Green Hornet Endler Guppy is a spectacular addition to nano and community aquariums alike. Known for its shimmering emerald body and high-contrast black and yellow markings, this variety brings electric color and nonstop motion to any aquascape. Available as individual males, females, or breeding pairs, these tank-bred gems are perfect for beginners and seasoned hobbyists alike. Born and raised in the USA!

What We Love About This Fish:

Stunning Coloration: Males feature metallic green bodies with deep black and yellow patterning—truly unique among Endlers.
Tank-Bred Hardiness: These guppies are bred for adaptability and thrive in a range of freshwater conditions.
Perfect for Breeding Projects: Pairs or groups readily reproduce with proper care.
Peaceful and Active: Great for planted and community tanks; always on the move.

Natural Habitat:

The wild ancestors of Endler Guppies originate from small warm ponds and slow-moving streams in Venezuela. They thrive in shallow, plant-filled waters rich in leaf litter and detritus.

Aquascaping:

Plants: Use Java Moss, Hornwort, Water Sprite, and floating plants like Salvinia or Frogbit for fry cover and natural aesthetics.
Hardscape: Driftwood branches and rounded river stones mimic the shallow streambeds Endlers love.
Botanicals: We recommend our Aquatic Arts Botanical Combo Pack, which includes catappa leaves, alder cones, loquat leaves, and other enriching botanicals. You can also supplement with items like cinnamon bark, guava leaves, jackfruit pods, or moringa leaves. These natural materials release tannins, promote biofilm growth, offer shelter for fry, and help mimic a more natural and enriching environment.

Diet and Feeding:

Endler Guppies are omnivorous and should be fed a varied diet to promote vibrant coloration and breeding activity. A great daily staple is Ultra Fresh Royal Guppy Mignon Pellets – Shrimp Delight Formula, designed for small tropical fish. Supplement with live or frozen daphnia, baby brine shrimp, or finely crushed flake for variety.

Tank Mates and Compatibility:

These guppies are peaceful and do well with other nano fish like Ember Tetras, Pygmy Corydoras, Celestial Pearl Danios, and peaceful invertebrates. Avoid housing them with fin-nippers or large, aggressive species.

Shrimp Safe:

Safe with adult Neocaridina and Caridina shrimp. Fry may be at risk, so provide moss and hiding spaces for baby shrimp.

Breeding:

Green Hornet Endlers breed readily in well-maintained aquariums. Females give birth to live fry every 3–4 weeks. For best results, maintain a ratio of 1 male to 2–3 females and provide ample plant cover and botanicals for fry survival.

Recommended Tank Parameters:

Temperature: 72° - 82° F (22° - 28° C)
pH: 6.8 - 7.8
KH: 8 - 12 dKH
Minimum Tank Size: 5 gallons (larger recommended for breeding groups)

Care Guidelines:

Diet: Omnivore – enjoys micro pellets, flake, and live/frozen foods.
Social Behavior: Very active and peaceful; best kept in groups.

Shipping Schedule for this service

UPS 1 Day: Monday through Thursday

Current Handling Time:

1-9 business days

Here at Aquatic Arts, we consider the welfare of the live animals we are shipping to be of the foremost importance. This process is much more involved than simply creating a shipping label and affixing it to a box. Depending on the order, it takes from 4 to 7 people to complete this process properly. We check the weather conditions here where they fly out of the Indianapolis UPS facility and the destination for each shipment. We start early each morning and go through a multi-step process to have the day's shipments prepared in time for the UPS pickup. The volume of orders in our system also affects the processing time. Therefore our stated handling time is 1-9 business days.

Shipping Rate

Pricing is by size of package needed to fill entire order and distance it must travel. It will be calculated at checkout.
