Balanced Gel Food for Omnivorous Freshwater Fish & Inverts
Repashy Community Plus is a nutrient-rich, balanced gel premix formulated for omnivorous freshwater fish and aquatic invertebrates. It blends quality animal proteins like krill and squid meal with plant-based ingredients to meet the varied dietary needs of community tank inhabitants.
At Aquatic Arts, we use Community Plus regularly to feed a wide range of fish and invertebrates in our care—including livebearers, rasboras, gouramis, corydoras, shrimp, and snails. It’s ideal as a staple food, whether you’re feeding a diverse tank or want a soft gel format that can be portioned easily.
Why We Love It:
-
Great for Mixed Tanks: Formulated to support the health of omnivores—both fish and inverts.
-
Balanced Nutrition: Combines animal protein with algae, plant meals, and beneficial botanicals.
-
Flexible Feeding Options: Serve as cubes, strips, or dry into jerky-style snacks.
-
Aquatic Arts Approved: A versatile, everyday food trusted and used in our own facility.
What Is an Omnivorous Species?
Omnivores eat both animal-based protein and plant matter, and most freshwater community fish fall into this category. Species like mollies, platies, tetras, barbs, loaches, shrimp, and snails thrive on a mixed diet. Community Plus offers a complete solution with ingredients they would naturally encounter in the wild—making it a perfect daily staple.
How to Use:
-
Bring water to a boil using the stove, microwave, or kettle.
-
Combine 1 part powder with 2–3 parts boiling water, stir until smooth.
-
Pour into a mold or container and let it set at room temperature.
-
Once firm, cut into cubes, strips, or use whole slabs for feeding.
Jerky Option: Pour the finished gel into a deep container, cut into ¼-inch thick slices, and dry at 150°F (65°C) in an oven or dehydrator for 8–12 hours. The dried jerky offers a slow-release feeding option.
Storage Tip: Keep finished gel sealed in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 6 months.

Shipping Schedule for this service
Current Handling Time:
1-9 business days
Here at Aquatic Arts, we consider the welfare of the live animals we are shipping to be of the foremost importance. This process is much more involved than simply creating a shipping label and affixing it to a box. Depending on the order, it takes from 4 to 7 people to complete this process properly. We check the weather conditions here where they fly out of the Indianapolis UPS facility and the destination for each shipment. We start early each morning and go through a multi-step process to have the day's shipments prepared in time for the UPS pickup. The volume of orders in our system also affects the processing time. Therefore our stated handling time is 1-9 business days.
Shipping Rate
Pricing is by size of package needed to fill entire order and distance it must travel. It will be calculated at checkout.
