Introducing a groundbreaking cross between two of the most beloved nano fish in the hobby—the Celestial Pearl Danio (Danio margaritatus) and the Emerald Dwarf Rasbora (Danio erythromicron). This rare, tank-bred hybrid combines the iridescent, galaxy-like spotting of the Celestial Pearl with the graceful striping and shimmer of the Emerald Dwarf. The result is a small, peaceful schooling fish that glows with personality and vibrant, shimmering detail unlike anything else in your tank. This cross breed has been know to do this naturally in the wild.

What We Love About This Fish:

Exclusive Hybrid Lineage: First-generation cross between two highly sought-after nano species
Spectacular Appearance: Galaxy-style spots meet subtle striping and pearlescent tones
Perfect for Nano Tanks: Ideal size and temperament for planted aquascapes
Peaceful Schooling Behavior: Best kept in groups of 6 or more for natural social interaction

Natural Habitat:

While this hybrid does not occur in the wild, its parent species are native to the cool, shaded, plant-rich waters of Myanmar and Thailand. Both thrive in slow-flowing freshwater habitats filled with dense vegetation and leaf litter.

Aquascaping:

Plants: Dwarf Hairgrass, Java Moss, Cryptocoryne, Anubias Nana Petite
Hardscape: Smooth river stones, spiderwood, and shaded hideouts
Botanicals: Alder cones or Indian Almond Leaves help replicate natural conditions

Diet and Feeding:

Micro-predators by nature. Accepts high-quality nano pellets, crushed flakes, and frozen/live offerings like baby brine shrimp, daphnia, and microworms. A varied diet enhances coloration and activity.

Tank Mates and Compatibility:

Peaceful and non-aggressive. Suitable with other small, gentle fish such as chili rasboras, pygmy corydoras, or otocinclus catfish. Avoid larger or overly active fish that may outcompete them for food.

Shrimp Safe:

Generally shrimp-safe with adult Neocaridina and Caridina species. May opportunistically snack on tiny shrimp fry, so add dense plant cover for protection.

Breeding:

As a hybrid, breeding behavior may vary and fertility may be limited or unpredictable. We recommend treating these fish as display-only unless you’re experienced with conditioning nano species.

Shipping Schedule for this service

UPS 1 Day: Monday through Thursday

Current Handling Time:

1-9 business days

Here at Aquatic Arts, we consider the welfare of the live animals we are shipping to be of the foremost importance. This process is much more involved than simply creating a shipping label and affixing it to a box. Depending on the order, it takes from 4 to 7 people to complete this process properly. We check the weather conditions here where they fly out of the Indianapolis UPS facility and the destination for each shipment. We start early each morning and go through a multi-step process to have the day's shipments prepared in time for the UPS pickup. The volume of orders in our system also affects the processing time. Therefore our stated handling time is 1-9 business days.

Shipping Rate

Pricing is by size of package needed to fill entire order and distance it must travel. It will be calculated at checkout.
