Product Description:

Add a touch of nature to your aquatic or terrestrial habitat with our Assorted Moss on Catappa Bark. Perfect for shrimp, crabs, and other invertebrates who love the cover and surface area that moss and bark provide, each piece is unique, offering a natural aesthetic and functional benefit. Choose the best option for your setup:

Available Options:

  • Assorted Moss on Small Catappa Bark
    – This option includes a strip of Catappa bark approximately 4 to 5+ inches in length, with assorted moss varieties attached. It is an ideal choice for adding a natural element to smaller tanks, paludariums, or terrariums. The small Catappa Bark piece serves as a perfect resting and hiding spot for shrimp, small fish, and freshwater invertebrates, making it an excellent addition to nano tank setups or as a decorative accent in larger aquariums. Its compact size allows for easy placement in any layout.

  • Assorted Moss on Large Catappa Bark Hide
    – The Large Catappa Bark Hide is a more substantial piece, at least 6 inches long and 3 inches round, with assorted moss attached. This hide offers plenty of space for invertebrates and small fish to explore, hide, and feel secure. Its generous size makes it a standout feature for Vampire Crab setups, larger aquariums, or paludariums, where it can serve as a focal point. This piece is also perfect for tropical terrariums, offering shelter and moss coverage that thrives in high-humidity environments.

What We Love About This Item:

  • Versatile Use: Suitable for aquariums, paludariums, or tropical terrariums.
  • Natural Shelter and Surface: Provides excellent cover for shrimp, crabs, and small fish who love hiding spots and shaded areas.
  • Aesthetic Appeal: The rich tones of Catappa bark combined with lush moss create a beautiful, natural look that enhances any setup.
  • Environmental Benefits: Catappa bark naturally releases tannins, improving water quality and creating a more natural environment for your tank’s inhabitants.

Care Guidelines:

  • Tank Placement: Foreground or background; position as a hide or decor feature.
  • Lighting: Low to moderate light for optimal moss growth.
  • Water Quality: Conduct regular water changes to maintain a clean environment for moss growth and prevent excess tannin buildup in the water.
  • Humidity: Thrives in high humidity, making it ideal for tropical terrariums.

Both options are designed for use in or out of water, making them perfect for multi-environment setups. The Assorted Moss on Catappa Bark provides beauty and benefits for aquatic, semi-aquatic, and terrestrial creatures alike.

Current Handling Time:

1-9 business days

Here at Aquatic Arts, we consider the welfare of the live animals we are shipping to be of the foremost importance. This process is much more involved than simply creating a shipping label and affixing it to a box. Depending on the order, it takes from 4 to 7 people to complete this process properly. We check the weather conditions here where they fly out of the Indianapolis UPS facility and the destination for each shipment. We start early each morning and go through a multi-step process to have the day's shipments prepared in time for the UPS pickup. The volume of orders in our system also affects the processing time. Therefore our stated handling time is 1-9 business days.

Shipping Rate

Pricing is by size of package needed to fill entire order and distance it must travel. It will be calculated at checkout.
