Our spirulina flakes are an irresistible, top-of-the-line invertebrate food formulated to provide optimal nutrition for a tropical or live freshwater fish tank. Made from vegetable matter and spirulina algae, this flake food consists of over 35% protein, promotes faster growth and breeding of invertebrates, and is fortified with calcium for healthy exoskeleton growth.

These spirulina flakes have been used in the holding tanks of Aquatic Arts, as well as the aquariums of thousands of our customers, for over 5 + years!

  •  PREMIUM AQUAIRUM FOOD : for live freshwater fish, tropical fish, shrimp, crabs, snails, and crayfish. However, it is important to note that spirulina is not nutritionally complete for all species and should be supplemented with other foods as needed, such as live aquarium fish food and high quality shrimp fish food. See our page for other supplements!
  • FEEDS MULTIPLE SPECIES : Nourish live fish and shrimp (e.g. Amano shrimp, Neocaridina shrimp, cichlids, guppies) in a freshwater or tropical fish tank. Also feeds freshwater crabs and aquarium snails, such as hermit crabs and nerite snails.
  • AQUATIC ARTS FOOD GUARANTEE : Arrives fresh and in prime condition.

Feeding Instructions:

For fish, start by feeding a small pinch of flakes for a group of small fish to eat in 1-2 minutes, 1-3 times daily. For invertebrates, feed one small pinch of flakes per five shrimp or snails every other day, removing any uneaten food after 6 hours. For crayfish and crabs, feed one small pinch of flakes per crayfish or crab every other day. If any flakes remain uneaten, remove them from the tank and use less to suit the appetite of your aquatic animals in future feedings.

Feed as much as your fish can consume in a minute and as much as snails can eat in 2 hours, 1-3 times daily. Smaller portions are recommended when feeding multiple times per day. Remove uneaten food after 3 hours and modify servings as needed. Larger flakes sink to the bottom for snails and rubbing the food together between your fingertips creates smaller flakes for fish. Feeding guidelines vary depending on the size, age, and environment of your aquatic animals. Keep out of reach of children. Not for human consumption.
