Product Overview
Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay is a mineral-rich aquarium supplement designed to support freshwater shrimp colonies, breeding projects, and planted aquarium ecosystems. Made from Montmorillonite clay and enhanced with Mironekuton mineral powder, Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay provides a natural source of trace minerals while helping maintain a healthy aquarium environment.
Many shrimp keepers use Montmorillonite clay as part of their regular aquarium maintenance routine because of its ability to bind impurities, support water clarity, and contribute valuable minerals that freshwater shrimp utilize during growth and molting. The addition of Mironekuton helps provide an even broader range of naturally occurring minerals and trace elements that can benefit both shrimp and the biological ecosystem of the aquarium.
Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay is especially popular among hobbyists maintaining Neocaridina Shrimp, Caridina Shrimp, Sulawesi Shrimp, Amano Shrimp, and freshwater breeding colonies. Healthy mineral availability plays an important role in successful molts, strong colony development, and long-term shrimp health, making mineral supplementation a valuable tool for many serious shrimp keepers.
Beyond shrimp, Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay can be used in planted aquariums and freshwater community aquariums where hobbyists are looking to support beneficial bacteria, promote water clarity, and create a more balanced aquarium ecosystem. Many aquarists appreciate that Montmorillonite clay can help bind impurities while simultaneously contributing beneficial minerals to the aquarium environment.
Each package contains Montmorillonite clay blended with 25% Mironekuton mineral powder and includes a dosing scoop for simple and consistent application.

Usage and Application
Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay is designed to be used as a mineral supplement and water-conditioning aid for freshwater shrimp aquariums, breeding projects, and planted aquarium ecosystems. Many hobbyists incorporate Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay into their regular aquarium maintenance routine to help provide trace minerals, support healthy molting, encourage beneficial bacterial growth, and promote overall aquarium stability.
Montmorillonite clay has long been used by shrimp keepers because of its ability to bind impurities, support water clarity, and contribute valuable minerals to the aquarium environment. The addition of Mironekuton mineral powder provides an even broader range of naturally occurring minerals and trace elements that can benefit shrimp and other freshwater invertebrates.
Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay is particularly popular among hobbyists maintaining Neocaridina Shrimp, Caridina Shrimp, Sulawesi Shrimp, Amano Shrimp, and breeding colonies where mineral availability can play an important role in long-term colony success. Many breeders use mineral supplements such as Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay as part of a comprehensive approach to supporting healthy molts, successful reproduction, and strong juvenile development.
For best results, Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay should be used as part of a complete aquarium management strategy that includes appropriate water parameters, regular maintenance, quality foods, and stable environmental conditions. While Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay provides valuable minerals and water-conditioning benefits, it should be viewed as a supplement to good husbandry practices rather than a replacement for them.
Dosing Instructions
Add 1–2 scoops of Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay per 10 gallons of aquarium water each week.
Temporary cloudiness may occur immediately after dosing. This is normal and typically clears as the clay disperses and filtration removes suspended particles.
Each package includes a dosing scoop for easy and consistent application.
Breeding and Colony Support
Many freshwater shrimp breeders use Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay as part of their breeding and colony management programs. The naturally occurring minerals and trace elements found in Montmorillonite clay and Mironekuton can help support healthy molts, exoskeleton development, and overall colony health.
Healthy molts are particularly important for breeding shrimp because successful growth, reproduction, and egg carrying all depend on proper mineral availability. While no supplement can guarantee breeding success, many hobbyists incorporate Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay into established breeding systems to help maintain stable conditions and provide additional mineral resources for their colonies.
Shrimp Envy Monti-Clay is commonly used in aquariums housing Neocaridina Shrimp, Caridina Shrimp, Sulawesi Shrimp, and other freshwater dwarf shrimp species where long-term colony health and reproduction are priorities.
