What Is an Insectivorous Fish?

Insectivores are fish that naturally feed on insects, larvae, and small arthropods in the wild. Species like bettas, apistogrammas, gouramis, corydoras, and many tetras thrive on this type of high-protein diet. Grub Pie offers a nutrient-rich, balanced way to replicate this food source in your home aquarium—without the need for live foods.

How to Use:

1. Bring water to a boil (stovetop, microwave, or kettle).

2. Mix 1 part powder with 2–3 parts boiling water, stirring immediately.

3. Let it cool at room temperature or pour into molds or trays.

4. Once set, cut into small pieces, strips, or serve as a slab.

Storage Tip: Store the finished gel in the refrigerator (up to 2 weeks) or freezer (up to 6 months). Can also be fed as a slurry or paste for fry or small-mouthed fish.
