Fissidens Nobilis Moss (Fissidens nobilis), is a very rare Southeast Asian aquatic moss that is occasionally available for the freshwater aquarium. This plant is a very fluffy, lush green plant with palm-like stems that will attach to most surfaces and can eventually grow into a large mat of impressive size. Like many similar plants, it provides refuge for shrimp and fish fry and makes for an attractive and useful grazing area for shrimp. It can be easily attached to driftwood and rockwork. It is very slow-growing and requires low to moderate lighting.
We offer this moss in a solid stainless steel mat form that makes it easy to attach to and begin propagating on rocks, driftwood, or aquarium walls and substrate. The moss is grown outdoors in Taiwan, and may contain a few pest snails or terrestrial bugs (the bugs will not survive or reproduce underwater).
Fissidens Nobilis Moss is a very easy plant to keep without much extra care, but like all plants, it can benefit from CO2 supplementation (although this is not required). Like many mosses, it does not typically respond positively to most chemical plant supplements. Many aquarists report success with this moss purely through keeping a well-maintained aquarium with no supplementation.
No aquarium plant distributor/nursery/wholesaler/retailer can or will guarantee their plants to be 100% snail free. We can not guarantee our plants will be snail free.

Shipping Schedule for this service
Current Handling Time:
1-9 business days
Here at Aquatic Arts, we consider the welfare of the live animals we are shipping to be of the foremost importance. This process is much more involved than simply creating a shipping label and affixing it to a box. Depending on the order, it takes from 4 to 7 people to complete this process properly. We check the weather conditions here where they fly out of the Indianapolis UPS facility and the destination for each shipment. We start early each morning and go through a multi-step process to have the day's shipments prepared in time for the UPS pickup. The volume of orders in our system also affects the processing time. Therefore our stated handling time is 1-9 business days.
Shipping Rate
Pricing is by size of package needed to fill entire order and distance it must travel. It will be calculated at checkout.
