Cryptocoryne parva is an excellent foreground "carpeting" plants that can thrive in low to moderate lighting!

Cryptocoryne parva is a rather popular foreground plant among aquarists due to its attractive appearance and relatively easy care. It grows to a maximum size of just 4 inches (10 cm) and will grow even when somewhat overshadowed by other larger plants. It is among the smallest, if not THE smallest, of all Cryptocoryne species.

Cryptocoryne parva is a slow-growing species, especially under low lighting. It should be placed in an area of the aquarium where it can be allowed to establish over time. It is native to Sri Lanka and should be kept in tropical temperatures. Like most Cryptocoryne species, it should be allowed plenty of time to “settle in” and should not be moved constantly (or at all, if possible). Once established, it will reproduce by sending runners that will grow into new plants. These runners can be cut and replanted for propagation. It will grow best in nutrient-rich substrate and water.

CO2 supplementation is beneficial, but not necessary for this plant. It will also benefit from supplemental fertilizers and nutrient-rich substrate.

No aquarium plant distributor/nursery/wholesaler/retailer can or will guarantee their plants to be 100% snail free. We can not guarantee our plants will be snail free.
