We are excited to finally offer Taxiphyllum sp. "Giant Moss" in tissue cultures!

Taxiphyllum Giant Moss is a moss that resembles Java Moss, although it is much larger with longer branches.

Taxiphyllum Giant Moss is a vibrant green moss that is excellent for aquariums that house fish, snails, and dwarf shrimp, as it provides biofilm, shelter and security for all aquarium inhabitants.

If you breed shrimp or fish, the fry will find vital refuge in the plant cover.  Similar to Java Moss, Giant Moss is very low-maintenance; it can be kept in any freshwater aquarium and does not need special supplementation or high-intensity lighting.

This listing is for the tissue culture form of Taxiphyllum Giant Moss. Tissue cultures are superior to traditional forms of aquarium plants in many ways. They are produced in a completely sterile environment which eliminates the possibility of them carrying pest snails or algae spores. They have a shelf life (before introduction to the aquarium) of several months if properly maintained and they are housed in a nutrient gel until introduced to the aquarium. To introduce a tissue culture plant to the aquarium, simply rinse off as much nutrient gel as possible, then plant as usual. The nutrient gel will not harm your aquarium.

Packaging may vary. Tissue Culture plants may arrive in bag or cup form.
