Like virtually all \u003cem\u003eAnubias\u003c\/em\u003e plants, it is extremely hardy, undemanding, and can thrive in a variety of water parameters. It has distinctive ruffled leaves that are different than several other related species and varieties. It is slow-growing and can thrive in a low-light, low-tech setup. It is possible that it is one of the many variants of Anubias Nana (\u003cem\u003eAnubias barteri \u003c\/em\u003e'Nana'), but we have not yet been able to confirm this.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eCare for Mini Anubias Kirin is identical to other Anubias plants. Its ideal placement in the aquarium is in the foreground to midground, and it will look best under low to moderate lighting. Excessive lighting can result in unattractive, pesky algae growth on its leaves. However, this algae growth can easily be kept under control in an aquarium with a healthy population of shrimp (especially Amano Shrimp) that will constantly graze on the algae without harming the plant itself. Most herbivorous animals will not harm Mini Anubias Kirin whatsoever, although some bio-film or ”wood-eating” \u003cem\u003ePanaque\u003c\/em\u003e genus plecos may “chew” holes in its leaves.
