These Assorted Anubias plants are healthy plants that are smaller than normal or may have some damage to their leaves. Get them at an extra-low price now and they will regenerate into A-Grade plants over the next few months!

Aquatic Arts is now offering “B-Grade” specimens of various Anubias plants. These are simply specimens that have some leaf damage, but are still in excellent health. With proper care, they will generate new leaves and grow into top-quality plants. This is your chance to get some great plants at a rock-bottom price! Varieties and species included depend on our current stock, and could be Barteri, Nana, Variegated, Kirin, Petite Nana, Golden Nana, Petite Golden Nana, Coffeefolia, Nangi, Nancon or others.

Care for Anubias is relatively easy. It is best placed in the middle ground and will look its best under low to moderate lighting (with the exception of variegated anubias which perfers higher lighting).  Excessive lighting may result in unattractive, pesky algae growth on its leaves.  However, this algae growth can easily be kept under control in an aquarium with a healthy population of shrimp (especially Amano shrimp) that will constantly graze on the algae without harming the Anubias plant itself.  Most herbivorous animals will not harm Anubias whatsoever, although some bio-fim/”wood-eating” Panaque genus plecos may “chew” holes in its leaves.  Anubias species has slow and steady in growth and does not seem to respond significantly to CO2 supplementation.  It does best when attached to driftwood or rockwork.  It can be planted in the substrate but its rhizome (roots) must not be buried in the substrate or it will rot and recede.  It can also be planted emersed in terrariums, paludariums, and viquariums.
