Willow Moss is a very hardy and undemanding live plant - great for beginners and experts alike! It is an alternative to Java Moss that is quickly growing in popularity. It looks almost identical to Java Moss, but the branches and strands are significantly larger and more defined.
This is a great plant to keep in any freshwater aquarium due to its low lighting requirements. It is a moss that is capable of living in cold water tanks as well as tropical tanks. It grows into bushy patches that are always a favorite hiding place for shrimp and fish fry.
We definitely foresee this moss becoming one of the most popular plants in the hobby in the near future! The moss is grown outdoors in Florida, and may contain a few pest snails or terrestrial bugs (the bugs will not survive or reproduce underwater). You may receive some strands of moss that are yellow or brown in color - this is normal and the moss should recover within two weeks.
